Privacy Policy

IntellectSync LLC ("IntellectSync," "we," "us," or "our") is a Wyoming limited liability company operating the IntellectSync platform at intellectsync.com and app.intellectsync.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Data We Collect
Files you upload
Notes, transcripts, PDFs, or other documents you submit for processing. These are stored temporarily in an isolated session on our backend server and are automatically deleted when your session ends or within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We do not read, index, or retain your files beyond processing.
Cognitive profile (paid tier)
Decision patterns, biases, and strengths you enter in the Fusion form. Stored in your browser's localStorage only. Never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly run a Fusion analysis. When Fusion runs, it is sent to the Anthropic Claude API solely to generate your report and is not retained by us.
Payment information
Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your card number or banking details.
Account information
Email address and authentication credentials, managed by Clerk. Used only for account access and subscription verification.
Server logs
Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) retained by Vercel and Railway for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
2. Local (Free) Tier
If you run IntellectSync locally via Ollama, no data leaves your device. All LLM processing occurs on your machine. We collect nothing in this mode.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To process your uploaded files and generate your wiki vault
- To run Cognitive Twin Fusion analysis via the Anthropic Claude API (paid tier only)
- To verify your subscription status and manage your account
- To improve the product based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
4. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic: Claude API for Cognitive Twin Fusion (paid tier). Your wiki content is sent to Anthropic for processing. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Clerk: Authentication. Subject to Clerk's privacy policy.
- Vercel: Frontend hosting. May collect request metadata.
- Railway: Backend hosting. May collect server logs.
5. Data Retention
- Uploaded files: deleted within 24 hours of session end
- Cognitive profile: stored only in your browser's localStorage
- Account data: retained until you request deletion
- Payment records: retained as required by law and Stripe's policies
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time.

7. Security
We use HTTPS for all data transmission and session-isolated temporary storage. Do not upload files containing credentials, financial information, or sensitive personal data belonging to others.
8. Children
IntellectSync is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site.
